Addiction Recovery Ministry

At the heart of the KESWICK ministry is the Colony of Mercy Addiction Recovery Center. Founded in 1897, the Colony of Mercy conists of a 120-day residential program for men 18 and older. Biblical in orientation, the goal is spiritual regeneration which results in freedom from the bondage of addiction. No medical or psychotherapeutic method is incorporated into the Colony program. Spiritual help is provided through one-on-one counseling, group sessions, Bible study, sharing times, and regularly scheduled worship services.

A staff member is available at all times for assistance, prayer and counsel. No charge is ever made for the Colony of Mercy program, other than a $150 non-refundable deposit. Each man is provided with a comfortable room, good food, laundry and linen service. A vital part of the recovery process is a work therapy component involving six hours each workday.

In addition to the 120-day program for men, the Women of Character program is designed to meet the needs of the wives of the residents. One-on-one counseling and Bible study are provided to the wife of any man enrolled in the Colony. The Families for Christ ministry seeks to meet the needs of the whole family through monthly couples counseling sessions and instructional times.

Since 1897, thousands of men from all walks of life have found common ground here on the KESWICK soil and at the foot of the cross. They have gone forth to lead fruitful, godly lives because of God’s work of transformation at the Colony of Mercy.
